April 24th awoke to the sunrise bivied on top of a mountain. The day on trail was one long, hot, hell slog but some twenty hours later I reached the AZTR 300 finish line. Went off-route for some grub before returning to the trail head for a daylight photo and to resume racing. Only halfway there!

AZT Day 2: More climbing and hike-a-bike but not nearly as bad as yesterday's death march. Also enjoy miles and miles of super sweet, flowy single track. Chased a road runner down the trail! More wildlife: zillions of little lizards, some kind of falcon, ground squirrels, and a bunch of bunnies at dusk.



 
8pm. 45 miles with an insane amount of hike-a-bike. Pressing on after dinner & resupply in Patagonia.

This is everything I think I will need. Sure looks like a lot all spread out. Pretty similar spread to my Tour Divide gear except a little less cold weather clothing and more supplies for the bike. I have read that this trail is teeming with sharp rocks and prickly plants intent on destroying tires so I have tried to
